SEARCH returns invalid (non-existant) result
I am having problems with "voices." And I am trying to learn.....
So I entered "voices" (maybe singular, I don't rem) into Handbook search widget, and it returned me lines somewhat like:
TOOLS
staff - blah blah blah.
But if you go to Edit > tools in MuseScore OR the Handbook, there is no "staff" section/option.
(I forgot to copy the blah blah blah, so that I could paste in here - oh well).

I just went and copied, here exact is (if it pastes well).
------------------
Fix #121051: ...
Tools
staff - MuseScore will do essentially the same thing but combine the contents of multiple voices ...
Comments
Not sure what that paste is from, but it doesn't appear to be from a search of the Handbook - it appears to be a more general site search and is showing results form the issue tracker and/or other areas of the site. So don't take that to be documentation - probably those were meant to be three separate search results, but it's hard to say for sure without knowing precisely what you did. Can you give the URL of the page you were on when you did the search, and the exact phrase you searched for, so we can see the actual results of the search?
The phrase/lines I copied came from this URL
https://musescore.org/en/search/handbook/voices
I got there by typing "voices" into search box on this URL
https://musescore.org/en/handbook
Does this help?

What that page shows you are the several different search results it found. Just like google shows you some search results and a small summary/excerpt of it.
Click through to the first result (the blue title Voices) and it takes you straight into the handbook page.
Can you propose any change we can make in presenting search results that would make this clearer to you?
1st, I was not objecting to (nor can I improve) the blue "voices" link. My issue was/is with the subsequent TOOLS link and its comment.
Nothing like this exists anywhere that I can find. Not in program, not in Handbook, etc.
And it seems to speak to exactly what I was/am trying to do.
I understand that entry to mean
under TOOLS link there is a sub-heading "staff"
and inside that sub-heading will be an explanation of "combining contents of multiple voices"
I suggest that the entire TOOLS link and phrases be deleted.

Off course there isn't a Tools→Staff menu! Again what is shown is a fragment from the linked page showing where the keywords you were looking for was found within that full page.
Your keyword is shown in bold. Again, this is very similar to what a normal internet search engine (such as google/bing/ask) does. Obviously this is *not* how you understood what was shown, therefor I'm asking you what you feel can clarify that what we show is just that, an excerpt.
Verify it, click on the blue Tools link from the search results. Once again it will bring you on the full handbook page.
If you then look for the sentence shown in the summary (staff - MuseScore will do essentially the same thing but combine the contents of multiple voices) you'll find it somewhere around 40% of the page, under the
Implode
tool (direct link) where it is explained what the tool does, what it's limitations are and where to find it (Edit → Tools → Implode). To summarize once more:

If you want to search the handbook you have to click the link "handbook" on the homepage. On the page that comes up you enter your search terms and you'll get the handbook pages that will answer your question.
If you search from the homepage you get mostly links to threads in the forums. That may be useful if you haven't found your answer in the handbook, but the handbook is in my experience the first place to look.

As mentioned, what you are seeing is just a list of search results. You are seeing Tools show up because indeed, the Tools page *does* contain the word "voices". The fragment of text shown is not meant to stand alone; it is just showing you where on the page the word "voices" appears. If you actually click the link, then browse the page (or search for the word within the page), you'll see the full text of that section is:
"Implode
Select a range of measures across staves that have substantially similar rhythms, run Edit → Tools → Implode. MuseScore will combine the contents of the staves into chords on the top staff - the opposite of explode. There is a special case if you select only a single staff - MuseScore will do essentially the same thing but combine the contents of multiple voices on that staff into chords in voice 1."
As you can see, the listed text does appear on the listed page, and it is relevant. So it's a completely correct search result.
