the sound of a note goes on forever after stopping playback (bug?)
sometimes when i play a song, and then hit stop, certain notes will continue on forever and ever, and won't stop playing until i close and re-open the program. is this a bug (i'm using version 1.2)? is there a way to prevent it? it seems to happen more with some instruments than with others

It's a phenomenon known as MIDI Echo, caused by MuseScore's synth Engine not receiving a Note Off for some reason.
It is extremely annoying when it happens.
I have noticed that the default soundfont (TimGM6MB) seems to be particularly prone to it.
The problem is supposed to have been fixed in the upcoming version 2.0
But I haven't personally tested for it.
Sometimes you will find that clicking on the note(s) concerned will stop the racket.
