setting up my score
I would like to know what would be the best template or if I have to create my own score for the following situation. I have a piano - solo voice for a number measures and then the score shifts to a piano chorus with SATB (see below). This is pg2 of an old out of print piece that I want to transcribe so its easier to read and I would like to keep the same layout (if possible).

So use the SATB+Piano template, enter all the notes (for the solo pick soprano, s can mean both ;-)
Once all notes are in, use 'Hide empty staves' and optionally uncheck 'don't hide in first system'
You could also add a Solo voice staff, to not 'dual-use' soprano for this.
For the long names to show on that 2nd page's 2nd system, use a section break in the last measure if the 1st system on that page, at the double barline
I would start with the SATB+piano template and then add my solo line. After all the notes and Lyrics are in, you can go to page view and hide empty staves under the Style|general.. menu.

Well I am somewhat successful. On my first page, I don't need the 4 part chorus in the first system just the piano part, which I can achieve if I uncheck "don't hide empty staves in first system" but then this also removes the 4 part chorus on the 3rd page which I do need. Any words of wisdom?
