Pizzicato for strings?
I see that the announcement accompanying the latest MuseScore release mentions the availability of 'pizzicato' for strings. However, a word search on the PDF version of the MuseScore Handbook yields nothing. Apparently the word doesn't appear there. My question therefore is: how do I obtain that functionality, that is, get my strings to play pizzicato on playback?

Today I added instructions for mid-staff changes (such as pizzicato) to the handbook. See Change and adjust sounds .

Good idea David to add this page, should be translated soon, however she does not appear in the english handbook's summary page nor in the translator assignements.

I added the Change and adjust sounds page to the [[nodetitle:handbook]] . The fact that it doesn't show up in the translator assignments is kinda weird. Seems to be a bug. I'll investigate it.

Thanks Thomas, a new helpful page for the handbook! Regarding translator assignements, the recently modified Installation page does not appear in assignements too.
Fortunately we have the Recent Changes menu to check modifications.

When editing an English page, the editor has the opportunity to check the translation as outdated. This means that the original English page has been changed significant enough to let the translators know that the translations should be updated. However, in this specific case, I think David didn't flag it yet, because he didn't have the consent yet from the original author. Also, the original author of the text said that the newly inputted text might need some update. So hold your horses for the time being. David will give the start shot ;-)

Understand Thomas, I will wait for the go of David and let him the time he need.

Here's the conversation about the new addition: http://www.musescore.org/en/node/714
etienne-snyman has given permission to use the text, but he suggests some parts could be "outdated". Any Linux users care to weigh in on this?

I agree, may be we need to wait for, or begin the translation until a linux user share it's ideas.

Perhaps I could personally check up on and edit that part of the Manual? I do have the permissions already, so I could do it as soon as my exams are over (in about 2 weeks)

Very good idea, update this paragraph at your time, we will wait for your go to translate and add the Linux installation in our language.
Have luck for your exams.

When a new page is added, it will show up in the translator assignments now. It was indeed a bug.
