As I understand it AIFF is actually the same format as WAV - both are raw PCM formats.
There will probably be differences in header information, but they are basically both the same.
I do agree that MuseScore should be able to save in this format as it (used to be) the Mac Standard Raw PCM format.
I should have Googled it, but I remember being told something along those lines in college :).
