Missing rest

• Jul 1, 2012 - 04:41

Please observe the attached. Measure 3 should have a full-measure rest in it. I found the directions for this in the manual; those directions successfully converted the first measure from two half rests and a quarter rest to a full measure rest (the piece is in 5/4, if you're scratching your head). However, nothing seems to want to put a full-measure rest into measure 3. I've tried the full-measure rest directions, I've tried copying and pasting from one measure into M3, I've tried copying and pasting the first two measures into M3 and 4, both on the one line and on both lines. I've checked the measure properties; both lines are set to visible. I can't find a rest that may be invisible; the "Show Invisible" option is checked and there's nothing showing in the measure. It's driving me nuts. I'm hoping one of you kind folk can tell me what's wrong with the second line in measure 3. Thank you all.

Try this.
Seems there was some kind of corruption.
I've simply deleted the entire measure (select measure 3, "Ctrl-Del"), added e new measure (select, old measure 4, "Ins") and re-entered the notes in the upper staff (actually I copy&pasted it).

It seems as though I may have encountered the bug, Marc; thanks for the link. And thank you, Jojo-Schmitz, for the ctrl-del function. I wasn't aware of it.
