Musescore won't startup on my Windows 10 laptop
As soon as I finish installing and try to run Musescore, it replys MuseScore.exe has stopped working.
Can't make any sense of the error in the event viewer.

I do run Norton AV but it passes the .msi file as clean.

One thing to check is the the "Known incompatibilities" section of the Handbook.
Further suggestion you can try, if the portable version works for you:

The portable version did not work better,however, I managed to get the program running by running the ‘Troubleshoot compatibility’ option, in Win10. It ran it and it kept the compatibility parameters , in the app startup. So now it works.
But you definitely have a compatibility issue with Win10 .

Mine too, and many others. So there must be something else specific to your system that is causing the trouble. Did you read the "Known incompatibilities" section of the Handbook? Nothing there look familiar? Well, if you figure out what the unique characterstic of your system is that causes it to fail there but work elsewhere, do let us know so we can add it to the list of known incompatibilities, and perhaps eventually fix the problem.
