sforzato playback doesn't work with loaded scores

Hi!

I'm using MuseScore 1.2 on OpenSuse and I have the following problem:

MuseScore will not playback sforzato in loaded scores.
I already found this: http://musescore.org/en/node/8252
However, the method given there only works with scores newly created:

0. Be sure to adjust instruments xml file for sforzato playback as described in the link.
Otherwise there will be no playback of sforzato at all.

1. Create a new score (eg. 1 Flute or 1 Guitar).
2. Enter some notes, set some sforzato signs, add a dymanic mark to the first note.
3. Playback: sforzato can be heard (according to settings in instruments xml file)
4. Save score.
5. Exit MuseScore and restart it.
6. Load score (if not already opened automatically).
7. Playback: sforzato does no longer playback.

It does still play staccato however. So this might only be an issue with velocity changes.

Can anyone reproduce this problem. Does it also exist on windows?
Note: I use an edited version of the instruments_de.xml template. Might the language cause the problem?

Greetings,
Heuchi

I can't say what might be going on with the instruments file, but I can observe that you can get nites to play back louder by going to Note Properties and adjusting the velocity directly.

Yes, I know about the Note Properties dialog, but that means you have to add an articulation mark, select the dialog using the context menu, change the 'velocity' option to 'offset' and enter a percentage. Quite some effort for a function, that is meant to be configured in the xml file.

However, I tested the windows version, and it has the same problem. But the latest nightly build does not have it. So, I'm looking forward to version 2.0.
