Count Notes (Create performance notes from score commonly used in Handbell scores)

I downloaded the free musescore version 1.2 and am trying to either download the plugin that adds hand bell notations to my palette or add them myself. I cannot figure out how to do either one. I have tried following the directions in the handbook but can't make sense of it.

How can I add hand bell notations to my palette?
