Stems connecting when I don't want them to.
I'm copying some sheet music into Musescore but the opening has a few notes on the bass clef above some beat-like notes but they stems don't connect. However Musescore keeps connecting the stems. Is there a way to stop this from happening?

Is there a way to pull it off? Like I said the stems of the notes connect into one chord and I don't want them to.

Enter the bass and invert the stems using x.
Enter the RH in the treble stave up an octave or at the correct pitch if you are happy to work out the leger lines. If the former, select the treble stave bar and press Ctrl-down arrow to drop the notes an octave. Then select one note from each chord and press Shift-Ctrl-down arrow to move the notes to the bass stave.
