Lost manuscript
Had music finished, exported parts. printed. Got information from the writer of a few changes. Made those changes. Had trouble getting rid of old parts in order to export, new ones. MuseScore "stopped" several times. Last time, when I was asked to restore old session, said no. Big mistake. Now all the song is not there. Must be in a backup somewhere. Is there a way to get it back? Once there, the delete parts button does not function. It says it deletes, but the tabs and all the old unmodified parts are still there. That's what I was trying to fix. I had the score fixed, but couldn't get rid of old parts (which did not update) and that's why I got in this mess. Any help will be appreciated. I would hate to reenter the whole song.

Regards.
My guess is, on a previous crash, you said "yes" to restoring the old session, which created new copies of your old work, and when you then went to save those scores, you didn't notice it wasn't saving them to the same location as the original. For some MuseScore saves these recovered scores in kind of random-seeming locations, like the folder where MuseScore is actually installed or is running from (which is OS-dependent, also depends on how you installed MuseScore and how you started it). So use your OS's file search facility to look on your entire hard drive for MSCZ files.
But yes, the backup file should also be present (hidden, filename starting with a period), as should the auytosave file.
Not sure what you mean about the delete parts button - is that referring to a score you still have, or are you talking about a problem you were having with the score before you lost it? If you have or regain access to a score where you are having problems, feel free to attach it so we can see what you mean.
