Unable to save a new file

• Oct 2, 2012 - 06:34

The title of the score is Deuteronomy 8:16-18. I suspect that the routine that creates the default file name fails with this input.

The behaviour was that the save dialogue did not instantiate when save was pressed.

I didn't notice it wasn't saving and I lost 4 hours work - all recoverable and a good exercise in reading - so only a few tears.

Sorry I don't have any other debug info

To work around - create a new page with a proper title and save it. Then copy the failed score content into the new page. The failed score cannot be recovered. So I suspect that there is a hidden variable that is not reinstantiated if the title is changed before save.

anyway - I won't let it happen again to me.

Musescore is a pretty good program for my work with the Hebrew Bible - thanks for supporting unicode and even the obscure bits of it like the te'amim.

Close - I think the problem is the colon in your title. Someone a while back figured out that this messes up the file dialog code, as it thinks the color indicates a drive specifier.
