Instrument names moving locations
In some of my scores, the abbreviated names of the instruments performing (pg. 2 and following) will move horizontally outside of the margins. I have tried dragging them back into position, but after editing other parts of the score, upon returning, I will find that the instrument names have moved back out of place. I don't notice a consistency, however, because sometimes they will just move back into place on their own temporarily when I do something like use a different amount of zoom for a moment. Any thoughts on what might be actually happening and how to permanently affix the instrument names in their proper locations? Thanks for your suggestions in advance!

I've noticed this, but haven't been able to make a file that will consistently reproduce it. I have noticed that there are usually invisible staffs when this happens. For some strange reason, putting in a spacer in the first measure of one of the staves and reducing its size to the minimum seems to usually fix it. I reduce it so it will have no other affect on the layout.
Instrument names are generated on the fly; I am not sure it was ever meant to be supported to be able to move them manually. It does appear to work in the moment, but it won't survive a save and reload. At least it doesn't when I try it with a simple example, so I rather doubt there are any cases where it would work.
So, if manually moving instrument names isn't meant to be supported, then instrument names should be showing up where the text style says they should be. If you are encountering a case where this isn't true - or where manual adjustments *do* appear to work and survive a save / reload - please attach your score and describe what you are seeing in more detail.
I should note in addition there is a temporary glitch that shows up when you toggle the "Hide empty staves" option where instrument names can move out of position immediately after hiding / unhiding the empty staves.
