Music imported from midi files won't respond to dynamics during playback
I've had the misfortune of having to use impored midi files to create Musescore scores. This is the only way to convert MusicTime files into Musescore format. The results are glitchy with weird notation and corrupt spots. Much of this I can fix, but one thing that is bothering me is that Musescore dynamics markings don't work during playback of the converted scores. It seems that the midi loudness data is getting imported into the new Musescore file and overrides any dynamic markings I put in.
Is there any way to get Musescore to ignore or remove the unwanted velocity data and play dynamics properly?

Not sure how you get the context menu open on MAc - it's a right mouse click on PC.
It's the context menu you want.

The video was helpful. but the procedure did not quite work. I selected all notes in the score, then with the Note Properties menu I set velocities to "user". This seem to be on the right track as none of the old volume levels from the midi file are audible. But now the score plays all notes at the same volume without responding to dynamic markings.
Score file attached.
Could you attach a MusicTime file?

Well the dynamics mysteriously started working, so no need to reply to this thread.
Thanks for your help!
