Showing only playing parts?
How can I make so that I only see the parts that are playing, like in real scores? When it's a big orchestra all I can see is rests after rests after rests...
Thanks!

Style/Page->Hide empty staves...
Welcome.
Although note, "real" scores - the ones conductors use - generally do *not* hide empty staves. They do indeed show the rests. It's usually easier to follow what is going on in real time while conducting that way. But it is true that "study" scores are often published in this "condensed" form, to save space.

So how do we create "study" scores in Musescore? For instance, when only the piano plays for several staves in choral arrangements?

See the earlier answer about hiding empty staves and also this bit of the handbook https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/layout-and-formatting#style-score.
The last (5 year old) post was not saying that you can't do what you want, just that conductors often prefer to see all the staves even when empty.

Also, those are "real" too of course. I was referring to orchestra scores specifically in mentioning that continuing to show empty staves is common. Although, if you can hide enough empty staves to fit two systems on a page, then it becomes more common to go ahead and hide them. And I should also note, it's not all "real" orchestra scores that show empty staves normally - some do omit them. Depends on the publisher.
