I can't reopen my files

I recently just finished transcribing my first piece and I closed it since I had to go do something for about an hour or so.
I came back to my computer and tried to reopen it since I just remembered that there were a few bars I had to fix but then when I tried to open the file it wouldn't open, instead I got the same message you would get a program freezes on you - a window opens and tells you that the program has stopped working.
But when I actually open MuseScore it opens just fine. It's only when I try to open the one file. The other one works just fine.
