tablature
Greetings!
I know that tablature is being tested as a feature. Any idea when it will be up and running? I have tried it with the Nightly Build and it will be wonderful when it is completed.
I teach mandolin and printed tab - exactly like this, with the numbers ON the strings, not on the spaces - is exactly what is clearest to beginning students (and a lot neater than my handwriting.)

I haven't checked lately, but last time I looked there were issues with rhythm flags being too long.
If, however, you turn off the rhythm flags and use dual notation/tab staffs as I do then it is pretty usable at present - I have produced some charts for teaching with it, but I wouldn't regard it as stable enough for serious work.

Some time in 2013 you can expect MuseScore 2.0 with the tab support but there is no ETA yet.
First we'll start with issuing beta releases. Stay around on the forum to find out when the first beta release will come out.

Michael and Thomas: Thanks much for the prompt replies. I am eagerly waiting for the beta version to try it. I am having a problem with the flag lengths even when turned off. However, I like the way it prints out compared to other free tab programs.
I'll be watching for it.
