portmidi update?
Hello, I was pondering to add support for my gear to the portmidi (musescore does not recognize my piano connected via iRig2 via FreeBSD) but I have noticed that musescore currently uses a very old version of portmidi.
Any plans for upgrade? Any technical reasons not to?

Could you try running pmdefaults (which is a PortMidi utility for setting the default portmidi device, which should be included with your distro's PortMidi package) and try seeing if your device is selectable in the input drop-down box.
