Space in lyrics on mac

This is probably specific bug for the mac release so I hope posting it here is ok.
Ctrl + space to add a space to lyrics without moving to the next note does not work on mac.
To add hyphen (Ctrl + hyphen) works but I have to use Command key instead of Ctrl. Probably the keys are mapped that way on mac (which is probably also not completely ok). However, to add space - neither Ctrl, nor Command key work. The reason is probably that Command + space is used by MacOSX to call Spotlight, which it does instead of typing a space to lyrics...
