Infinite Scrolling

• May 14, 2013 - 22:45

I just started trying to use Musescore, and when I create a score, it creates a page that is surrounded by infinite empty space in every direction, so that the scrolling never stops. I can't see any scroll bars either, so if I accidentally swipe my trackpad and scroll off of the score, I can't tell which way I need to scroll to get back to the score. The Navigation Panel doesn't help because I can scroll off of it too, so there's no blue box to tell me what I'm looking at. Does anyone know how I can get around this, or just a tip on where I might find more information on it? I'm using OS X Mountain Lion. I don't know if that might have something to do with it.

Easiest way to get reoriented is to hit "home" if your keyboard has it, which takes you back to the top no matter where you are. Or you could hit Ctrl-F, the shortcut got "go to measure", and type a measure number.

I suspect you are running into this more often while first exploring, but once you get used to the interface, you probably won't see this much at all.
