In v1.3, way to reset Page Numbers? Set start page to N (not just 1) ...

• May 15, 2013 - 12:29

Is there a way in version 1.3 to set starting page# to greater than 1?
(am assembling pieces into a booklet)
Or ... should I just use the latest nightly version to assemble one of those "albums" ??

(and, will that allow me to split everything apart into single page images, as v1.3 does?
Goal is to load all the pages into MS Publisher, so as to be able to print on tabloid paper in 4-up style, multi-page.
(MS Publisher does not seem to want to suck in a PDF file, sigh, why should MS talk to Adobe?))

Kind regards,
Suzanne

Not sure what 4up style on tabloid paper means but in MuseScore 1.3, you change the paper size in Layout-> Page settings. Tabloid should be in the list of default paper size. In the same dialog you can change the number of the first page.

... I need to renumber pages across 5 pieces of music in a booklet.

One piece would be no problem.
Tabloid, 11x17 paper, holds four 8.5x11 pages, page nums 1 and 4 on one side, 2 and 3 on other (so, 4-up).

Each page added changes the math somewhat, so that "last" page is always on left half of where page 1 is sitting.
So ... a 20-page booklet is ... 20/1+2/19, 3/4+18/17, 5/6+16/15, 7/8+14/13, 9/10+12/11 ...

MS Publisher makes it easier to keep the pages in sync.
AND, I figured out ... I could "Save as" PNG format, which has transparent background, then load pages into Publisher, then add page numbers in Publisher (which last night I did not know how to do).

So, all is well, and my booklet is nearly to bed!!

Thanks, all!
