How do I make playback start at a particular note?

I can sometimes make the play back start at a particular note,
but not every time.
How do I make playback start at a particular note for sure?

Turn off playback of repeats (the icon in the main toolbar that looks like repeats). There is a bug where "sometimes" playback doesn't start where it should when this option is turned on. I think it's already fixed for 2.0
