Chord font size in jazz lead sheet template

• Jun 8, 2013 - 19:38

I want to change the chord size in one measure only. I have a measure with six chords and it gets crowded. Is this possible? When I try to change the size of these six chords they disappear.

Have you considered re-barring the piece, perhaps one fewer bar in that system, or, if you want to preserve the lay-out, using "shrink and stretch" on those bars?

Unfortunately, I don't think there is any direct way to do that. I suppose you could create a second lead sheet, add the chord there, save it as a graphic, manipulate it in your favorite graphics editor, and then dag & drop that into your score.

I think you should submit a feature request in the issue tracker.

Create a second lead sheet with the chords the size that I'd like, then save it as a (*png). This is where I'm confused. Then open it in, say, Photoshop and then make a vector out of it and drag it back into the score? Doesn't Musescore only accept (*mscz) files? I don't follow how I'd get the manipulated graphic back into the score.
