Note shown does not match the pitch of the midi it should be playing by an octave
I was doing something with voices. I copied a tenor voice and pasted it into a tenor sax part. When I play the tenor sax part, the note is played down an octave. For example, it's showing a high C (2 ledger lines above the staff) but making the sound of a middle C. How can I get the note and midi pitch to match again?

Are you perhaps not aware that this is how tenor saxophones work - they always sound an octave lower than written, unless you explicitly turn on Concert Pitch mode? And that the clef often used for tenor voice, a treble with an 8 next to it, also means everything sounds an octave lower than it appears? If that doesn't help you understand what is going on, please post the score you are having trouble with.
Hmm that's a 2 octave transposition.

As far as I can tell, the problem you are seeing is simply that you are using the "treble-8" clef for the tenor saxophone. Treble-8 is used for tenor voice, but not for tenor saxophone - it uses the play transposition (Concert Pitch) mechanism to achieve its transposition. Presumably you started with an SATB score, which had treble-8 for the tenor voice part, then simply changed the instruments but didn't change the clef? Anyhow, change that to treble clef and you should see what you expect - or at least, what *I* would expect.
