repeat 1st and 2nd endings

• Aug 19, 2013 - 08:45

All my bars are in sync with each other like so:
.........Guitar: |:........|........|........:|
Bass Guitar: |:.......|........|........:|
........Drums: |:........|........|........:|

However I want to add another bar for the drums without adding a bar to every other instrument so I can have a second ending.
so I want it to be like this:
.........Guitar: |:........|........|........:|
Bass Guitar: |:.......|........|........:|
........Drums: |:........|.......:| 1st | 2nd |

How can I add another bar to my drums without adding a bar to everything else.

If this is not possible than how do I add a 2nd ending without Musescore playing everything else thats in sync with the drums in the bars above?

You can't add a measure only to one instrument. Add the extra measure, the 2'nd ending line, and leave the other instruments empty, just adding the drum notation.

Hey,
Thanks for the reply.

Yeah I have tried to do this but it adds the new measure at the end of the whole song...
I have already written out the bass guitar part, and now I am trying to do the drums and every time I try to add a new measure it adds it all the way at the end. Is there a way to add it without it adding a new bar at the end of the piece?

You can add a measure anywhere you want - select the measure you want the new one to come before, then Create / Measures / Insert.

And BTW, it is not uncommon at all to have a first & second ending where some instruments have the same thing in each. That's normal and expected. Don't leave the other parts blank unless they are supposed to rest - just reproduce whatever was in the first ending into the second.
