Reversing Clef Change: Functional Success but Clef Sign Remains
Hello: A section of my score required the bass clef to be changed to treble clef. This was successful, as usual. Further on, I needed to change BACK from treble to bass clef but I did so, 3 measures too soon & needed to correct my error. After each change I verified the change by playing back the score. All changes, including my correction, played back correctly. However, the bass clef sign that indicated the premature change back remains on the score (although ignored), as if it is still in effect. This would confuse a HUMAN player. [I'm using Version 1.3 Mac Mountain Lion.] Thanks for your help. JHJ

There are definitely some occasional bugs that have been known to happen with deleting clefs or undoing adding them. I think ones reported with samplemscores and steps to reproduce may have been fixed for the next release, but no doubt thers remain. If you can revert to an older version of your score, oost that, and then list steps to reproduce the problem, that would be ideal. Otherwise, even posting the score in its current state could help. And someone might be able to show you how to fix the problem.
1. Reload the score.
or
2. Highlight the clef (by clicking on it) and delete.
or
3. As a last resort, right click on the clef, and choose 'make invisible' from the context menu.
Just my suggestions, without seeing the score...

Time constraints require that I move quickly so I INSERTED a new measure, duplicated the notes for the measure containing the stubborn clef sign, duplicated all related measures, then deleted the "bad" measure, leaving the corrected measure (substitution) in its place. This isn't optimal but it solves the immediate problem. Best of luck to you! Still favor MuseScore over all others. JHJ

FWIW, your workaround is indeed the way to go to fix most corruption issues - places where notes don't display as they should and no amount of re-entering the nites seems to fix it. You probably already knew that.
