ctrl or cmd on Mac?
The instructions refer to Mac ctrl with the symbol for cmd!
I'm very new to this......couple of hours. Is it me?
The cmd, with symbol, works fine whereas ctrl doesn't.
Once you know it's not a problem but it is a bit confusing for a newbie like me.

Like on https://musescore.org/en/handbook/note-input#keyboard (BTW: this is the online handbook, the PDF is for download and offline consumption), where it reads:
* Ctrl+↑ (Mac: ⌘+↑): Increase the pitch of a note by one octave.
* Ctrl+↓ (Mac: ⌘+↓): Decrease the pitch of a note by one octave.
This is exactly why it is written that way, it is Ctrl on Windows and Linux, but Cmd on Mac

So exactly what Jojo mentioned; the instructions show the shortcut for Windows/Linux, with the different shortcut for Mac between parenthesis.
Generally speaking, in cross-platform software, if a shortcut is mentioned as Ctrl+key, it will be that for Windows/*Nixes, but for Apple you'll have to use Cmd instead of Ctrl.
