Keyboard chord diagrams
Being new to keyboard and not being very good at reading music, I sometimes find it difficult to work out which keys to play. My teacher draws out diagrams for me to show me. I have tried to find a way to add keybord diagrams in the same way that you can guitar symbols. I would even be happy to be able to add a blank meyboard template above a chord and use a pen to mark the notes or to be able to insert a picture of the chord. Chords could be on a treble or bass clef.

If you press the p key (or click piano keyboard on the view menu) a piano keyboard will show up. When you play the song, the keys are highlighted. If you want to slow down playback the play panel (F11) lets you speed up and slow down the tempo on playback. Perhaps together these would be valuable tools until you get used to reading music.

You can always add an image in PNG or SVG. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/image
Drag it from explorer to a note.

Thatcould work. I will try it and see if it works for me. I just need to hunt for some keyboard images small enough

You can resize them in MuseScore or in any image editor.

Once an image is placed into a score, it can be resized within Musescore by double clicking on it and dragging the handles to re-size it.
Attached is a .png file of piano keys. It can be dragged onto a score element (e.g. note, chord, rest) and re-sized.

Fantastic! That will work nicely. I can place diagrams where I need them and then use a pen to mark the notes played.
