Midi import panel doesn't appear when I open midi file

I am not seeing any midi import panel that is supposed to appear every time I import a midi file. I am asked what is the shortest note on import that I will allow - that is all. The score is produced but I have no way to "tweak" it via the import panel.

From Musescore I am going to "File" then "Open" and then I select my midi file. Is this not the proper way to import midis?

Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks!
