Sudden Tempo Change During Playback
I'm working on a song with a tempo of 160 BPM. When I listen to it, Playback will correctly play the music at 160 BPM for the first 12 measures. Starting at measure 13, the tempo drastically slows down to 120 BPM, yet the Playback Panel says, "160". I understand that the software focuses mostly on notation, yet I can be thrown off at the tempo change.

Presumably an invisible tempo marking there. I'm guessing this file was imported from MIDI and that this tempo change was there in the original. To remove the spurious tempo marking, you could trying adding one of your own, right clicking and click select all similiar, then delete. Then add back whatever tempo markings you do want.
I started this score from scratch. I'll try what you said, though.

If it doesn't work, then posting the score would be the next step. All we can do is guess otherwise.
