I like this sound font
Hi
I found a sound font called Ntonyx, this is the best sound font, it is freeware, and it does not have anything like out of tune playing at the moment.
I wondered whether if you like to recommend it, try it and see.

I tried it..... seemed to work fine.
I score for brass though and found Fluid more 'fluid' for want of a better word.....
What type of instruments do you use the font with ?

Are you 100% sure that Fluid SoundFont is not out of tune to any musical instruments?
I tried it on Cello, and Piano, both works fine, nothing is out of tune. I tried on Brass instrument just now, the only thing to bear in mind is that the sound quality may not come as you expected, i.e the sound is too soft, but you may improve it by dragging dynamic markings under the notes.
I tried the Ntonyx SoundFont. I like that it fairly small and still sounds OK. However the volume of the Ntonyx samples are very low. It is very quiet even with the volume on my computer turned all the way up. Then of course when I listen to something else on my computer or the web, the sound is so loud it makes me jump because my volume is all the way up!

I haven´t try this font, but the same thing happens to me using Finale´s GPO.

I realised this problem,, but try to use speakers instead of Headphones if you want the sound to get louder, I tried it on my speaker, it worked better, while I tried it on the headphone, the sound was pretty quiet, that you can hardly hear anything unless if you listen very carefully.
I jreally hope that there is a soundfont which will be completely in tune, and also produce better sound qualities, and also freeware as well.
Any recommendations would be appreciated, thanks.

Please someone help me!
I have downloaded and installed the MuseScore 0.9.5 version successfully and also downloaded this http://www.ntonyx.com/soft/32MbGMStereo.sf2 soundfonts.
As the handbook says " If you want to play instruments other than piano you have to change the
MuseScore integrated SoundFont with a more capable one in Edit →
Preferences... → I/O tab."
I have put it in there but when I make a simple music then there is no sound (NO sound during making and during display too). If I import a midi file it displays only with piano.
I do not know how I can implement this soundfonts to have it work. Please tell me step by step because I am not really good.

See the troubleshooting section of SoundFont . If you still have trouble take a screenshot of the I/O tab and attach it to a comment below.
Also note (as mentioned above) this SoundFont is very quiet. If you turn your volume all the way up then it may still be quite faint. Did you try any of the recommend SoundFonts first, as described in the handbook?

This soundfont is very quiet, hope there is a better soundfont, I only recommend this soundfont because it has no instruments that are out of tune.
I had to adjust the output to my speakers and it was solved.
