Midi Import

• Jan 28, 2014 - 21:44

Is there someone who knows how to create the functionality that Cubase uses to render scores better? This screenshot shows how they have created these options. They work rather well and would make importing midi files look correct. Everything I've done is in Midi. It would be so great to be able to print them for performers.

It's possible to improve rendering of MIDI to be sure, and MuseScore 2.0 implements a lot of this. However, there is just no way MIDI files will ever import ready-to-print, in Cubase or MsueScore. There is way too much information not captured in MIDI that is essential to proper notation. So CUbase and MuseScore may produce *better* results than MuseScore 1.3 out of the box, but you should still expect to spend a significant amount of time editing by hand to get proper / readable notation on any but the simplest of scores.
