How do I download a plugin?
specifically the slash/notation one.
Following the instructions on the Handbook page takes me to Marc's page where there are general instructions but I cannot find where to download the actual file. Searches have not helped.
I have read the manual entry and gone to Marc's page.
Perhaps I'm just completely blind.

The handbook, http://musescore.org/en/handbook/plugins, also leads you to the plugin repository ;-)

You're not blind, it's just non-obvious. On the main plugins page with the list of plugins, there is a link "What is a plugin?". That takes you to the page with installation instructions that apply to all plugins:

This is, as mentioned above, also accessible from the Handbook. I guess part of the problem is that both this page and the main plugin index have the same page title, "Plugins".

Apparently, I had it backwards. You found the the handbook page but couldn't find the actual slash plugin. Glad the other answers above helped. But for the record, the link to download the attachment "slash.zip" it's at the bottom of the page for the plugin:

Where are you suggesting the "to the plugin" go? Is this is a link text? From where to where?

Finally. At the bottom, under the word Development there is a .zip file.
What a maze for me.

I have it now.
I suggest that the .zip file be at the top of the page and more prominent. "Download here".
It just seems buried to me.
Once you know where to look it is obvious, but to me, for the first time, it wasn't.
