"Save a Copy" problems
I cannot "save a copy" or "save as" any current document. I am using Ubuntu 9.04. I've tried saving documents in many different formats. I give the document a new name, pick a location, and everything seems to work fine, but there is no new document created. I'm just creating a template for a rhythm chart. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Are you using MuseScore 0.9.5? If not then you need to upgrade. Ubuntu 9.04 has a Qt bug that breaks saving in Musecore 0.9.4 or earlier. Version 0.9.5 works around the bug.
