Loud accent on first note of playback

I've been using Musescore 2.0.3, even though It says version 4.
I recently had to replace my computer and got a new macbook pro.
13-inch, 2016, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)
2.9 GHz Intel Core i5
8 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3
Macintosh HD
Intel Iris Graphics 550 1536 MB

When I start the playback at the beginning of my scores, there is an audible accent popping sound on the first note. It is very loud and I'm afraid it is stressing my internal speakers of my new computer! I just need to know if this is a computer issue or a setting in the Musescore playback files that I need to change.
Any reponse would be greatly appreciated. (I'm not very technological, but I can follow directions.

I upgraded to 2.1 and I'm still having the loud accent on the first note of the first measure on playback. Could it be a sound font issue or something within the machine's sound system itself? I also tried to export a file to the desktop for emailing, and the whole thing was blackened out!!! Somehow I managed to get them back, and I'm not sure how I did it. That was scary!
