for iPad and iPhone there's only the Songbook app, to read and play scores, availably on iTunes.
As stated pretty clearly on the download page you need a Mac running macOS 10.12+, OS X 10.8–10.11, Mac OS X 10.7 to be able to run the MuseScore program

Thanks a lot - I was pretty sure that was the case but a stray comment from a colleague made me think I was possibly mistaken so I just posed the question.
