how to add lyrics to a bass line?
Problem: How do you add lyrics to a base line? the lyrics follow a 1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4 rhythm while the bass follows a 1---3---1---3---1---3 rhythm. I tried inputting the lyrics then the notes and I get one word per note. I tried inputting the notes then the lyrics and I get the same results. What am I doing wrong?

If you have lyrics with 4 syllables per measure you simply need a staff with 4 notes per measure.
A separate staff, for the singing voice. Lyrics is one syllable per note. Unless you use tricks like Ctrl+Space
