Size of volta follows staff size regardless of setting
Version 2.1., Mac OS Yosemite.
Can somebody look at the attached score and reproduce the following steps?
1. look at M. 201/202
2. style > text > volta, move the menu window so you can see the voltas
3. check the box "size follow staff space setting" > apply
4. Look at the voltas
5. uncheck the box > apply
6. look again.
I don't see a change when the box is check vs. unchecked. Do I do something wrong or is this a bug? It would be easier for the pianist if the volta were in his size, not in the small size of the string parts.
I should mention that I have a few more files that behave the same way.

I should add this: I'd appreciate if someone with similar scores could try and reproduce this on a score not made by me.

Not quite. This affects the figure 1. (either by unclicking "size follows staff setting" or with more points) itI does not adjust the line such that the figure now overlaps the line on top. I tried to adjust that by adjusting the hook but no such luck.
Interestingly though "size follows staff setting" works if accessed by left click but not in the inspector.
So I am still stuck with the small volta size.

Small staff small volta, big staff big volta.
Try to put a Volta on the Piano staff.
(It might be better if you reset the styles first.)

I don't particularly like this either under the principles that the text should not be cluttered up with unnecessary (in this case quadruplicated) signs.
I notice that Henle (Schubert piano trios) has voltas on the piano and the violin, but not the cello so this is what I'll probably do: A private volta for the pianist and the volta for everybody on the violin part.
I still think it would be nice to have the option to just put one volta in full size for all four instruments.

Of course, as soon as we do that someone else complains that we aren't honoring the size setting at all :-(
Note that the text size for volta really isn't that relevant here. It's really the size of the volta itself that is the issue. There is no setting currently to control whether that scales. Perhaps all elements should have a flag settable in the Inspector to control this, since we get requests from time to time for all sorts of different elements with arguments for and against usually.

This is exactly what surprised me: That the tex size is changeable but the volta size is fix (More precisely: Even though it adapts to staff size it does not allow sizing to a staff lower down like various kinds of text do). It appears at first glance that one can adjust the size of a volta but then it turns out only the text changes in size which is useless.

Workaround (Just cosmetic):
Create Volta on the Piano Staff.
Hold down the Alt key, move the Volta to the top staff with the mouse.

This is a great idea! I need Pdfs and when they are generated it is no longer cosmetic.
