Real-time entry
In Basics/Input devices/MIDI it is stated that MS does not have real-time entry.
As of version 2.1 this is misleading.
Should there be a note on this with a link to the description in the advanced section?

Can you post a link to the online handbook where it says this? If you are using one you downloaded, it may have been updated since then.

See https://musescore.org/en/handbook-basics/note-input#midi-keyboard, no mention of realtime midi input.

I think these make it clear that the option exists starting in version 2.1 and does not exclude the possibility of using real time input as OP suggested. I could't find any place it says real time input is impossible in the current manual.

https://musescore.org/en/handbook-basics/note-input#midi-keyboard does indicate that.

In the note input section it is stated that MS does not have real-time features, as it is considered unreliable.
