Highlight a section of music?
Is there a way to highlight certain measure so it will appear I used a yellow highlighter?
Thanks.

Hello Mike,
Thanks for this tip. It seems to work fine inside MuseScore. (See attachment).
But when I export to PDF, there is no highlighting to be found. I have tried playing with Visible, Opacity, Z-Order, etc, but no luck.
What am I doing wrong?
Also, the line seems to be pushing my Staff Text up on the exported PDF; it should not be moving anything; just effectively highlighting. How can I fix that, too?
Thanks!!

The text and lines probably have auto placement turned on and are affecting one another so perhaps if you turn this off for the problem items it would help.
It looks like you are on a mac and changing the color at the system level using the Mac Color wheel. To change the color of the lines try clicking the rectangle next to Color: in the inspector and use MuseScore color picker. I'm no expert on Mac, but this is what I think the likely problem is.

Actually, I am using the rectangle you mentioned to select color, not anything at the system level.
I will note that muse has two color rectangles there. One at the object level, and a second below it at the line level. The latter didn’t change the color at all, even in muse, so I used the top one. But neither one results in any shading after export to pdf.
Maybe I will Print rather than Export... But this seems like a bug.

I agree, but I don't have experience exporting colors to PDFs.

I have now tried Print to PDF, and the result also has no shading.

I went to the Create Issue page, and it says:
"For support requests or potential bug reports, please post in the forum. "
which is what I have done here. What do I have to do to get this escalated to review as a bug?

Go ahead and add it to the Create Issue page. It's already been discussed here and seems to be a bug.

The distinction being, "potential" bugs should get discussed here, then once confirmed as actual bugs, opened as official issues.
