Can we only play white keys with glissando.

I know I can just put some demi-semiquaver notes so it'll look like a slide. But that looks crowded, right?
Why am I saying this? Cause I downloaded a midi file and played it in synthesia. Why glissando is being played, it plays black keys too which it sounds clear that there were.
