I am most impressed by Musescore which I have just installed on Ubuntu and W10. I find it most impressive.

I am by no means a real musician but I am in the local choral Soc. (Kington) It's my first concert this evening (Britten, VW and Handel). I hope that after a good warm up I am reasonable voice!

I believe that MS will help me to learn the tunes and hone up my sight reding.

Greetings,

I'm new here, too, and have found the program amazing to use. I'm reading through the entire manual right now and find it well written and explanatory. If nothing else, spend some time looking over the manual just to get an idea where things are.

Good luck!

That is the best advise you can give. I suggest you read it with the program open and follow examples to learn what is possible, even if you think you will never use the feature being explained.

That's just about what I'm doing...except for the TAB section. I know it's there, will probably never use it, but I know it's there and can address it if I needed. But on pretty much everything else, yup, I'm on it! Great experience, too. (I'm a school bus driver, so I've had all Thanksgiving week off to study the Handbook.)
