Mouse Cursor Icon as note value in input mode
Would be nice, while in input mode, to have the blue mouse icon reflecting the note value (rest) currently selected.

That should be the case already, what version are you using?

Version is 2.1.0 Revision 871c8ce
I double check and to be precised i get only the correct note head (full or empty) without the right steam and flag for all values.

No stem is by design, after all you are adding a note, not a chord. What about the rests?

The rests are Ok.
Sorry i don't get about chord, i still think having the notes icon value behavior like the rests will add a little help

It does, as far as the notehead, incl. dots, is concerned.

Hi,
just to make sure nothing is wrong with my Musescore installation, i'm attaching two pictures to show the difference between the icon for note and for rest.
It will be great to have the same approach for note where the icon (in input mode) shows you the note value currently selected.

Yes, but for my part, I am not a big fan of this.

For enter melodic lines, it's okay. But for entering chords (or in a multi-voices context), the stems - and flags- collide with the noteheads... confused display... (first image below)
Currently, more clear, neat!
That's said, keyboard entry does not have this disadvantage.
