every time i try to save my music file and try to go back in and edit it, my file is never there. help?

Open Preferences and check the Scores folder path

It should be listed under File->Recent>
How are you trying to "go back in"? Most likely you simply saved it to a different folder than the one you are looking in. What is the full name and location of the folder where you believe the file is? What OS?
