Importing to Musescore from REAPER

Hi there,
I'm having total headache trying to convert MIDI performance into actual sheet music. The track in question was sequenced in REAPER and then exported to MIDI.
It was, of course imported as a total mess, because:
- keyswitches
- quantization
- woodwind and brass use CC2 (Breath Controller) instead of midi note-on/off

All parts were hard-set to Piano in Musescore with no possibility to change that. Instrument names were appended with "Piano" and the MIDI import offered very little options to adjust the parameters (the "Piano" text was added regardless of what was selected in the import configuration).

Can someone offer an advice how to process such projects so that the end result is readable score?
Possibly something less time-consuming than writing down the score from scratch.

What I did initially was to rerecord the CC2 parts on piano VSTi and properly quantize the MIDI items, but Musescore still did not understand those parts correctly and the process took fair share of time to redo.

Did you try to export the notation xml? There is a partwise export feature for pdf and xml. If you set up an editor per track, you can proceed through each track of notation. I have no idea if it will translate instrument names and other data over to Ms. The notation seems primitive. But I found the events list irritating because there is no bar number, just a timeline. But you might get readable and useable parts.

I go the other way: writing in Ms and then recording into Reaper.
