If a percussionist has to play various instruments ..what's the best way to create a part?
Want one percussionist to play
Concert Bass Drum but also Cowbell but viewed on the same stave
but plays back with the correct sounds!
and another to play
Shaker and Cowbell
and also plays back with the correct sounds!
What's the best way to do this?
Choose unpitched Perc? but couldn't even see shaker or Cowbell listed!
No Idea!

If you want separate parts better add as many Instruments
Easiest is to add the "Drumset" or "Percussion" instruments, then if necessary customize it by right-clicking the staff and choosing Edit Drumset. See the Handbook under "Drum notation" for more info. it's perfectly possible to set it up however you like, so that for example top line is cowbell, middle line is shaker, bottom line bass drum, etc.
