“Toggle 'MIDI Input'” button always active after start

In latest 2.2 as of today, even when disabling “Enable MIDI input” in the preferences “Note Input” tab, the toolbar button “Toggle 'MIDI Input'” is always enabled when the application starts.

This leaves a user confused as to whether it is now indeed enabled or not, or whether it can be enabled anyway (does the disabling in the preferences override it (in that case the button should be both disabled and greyed out) or not (in that case the button should start out as disabled)?).
