Combining/Joining two staves of piano into one treble staff

• Apr 8, 2018 - 14:11

Hello everyone:
I need your help. When I downloaded the app into my MacBook Pro and used it as a trial, I realized I was able to print the score of a piano music in one staff, treble staff or bass staff. Now that I paid for the app, I can't seem to find that feature. Can someone help me find it? How to join the two staves?

Thanks

I think you might be confused - there is no "paid" version of MuseScore. At least, not the actual MuseScore notation software that runs on your computer. There are various apps for mobile devices that you can buy, these are not editors though - just for reading or playing already existing scores.

So if you are trying to edit a score using the mobile app, that won't work. If you have the actual MuseScore notation software on your MacBook, that is completely free.

Anyhow, assuming you are indeed talking about the free MuseScore notation software running on your MacBook, if you explain in more detail what you are trying to do, we are happy to help. To print scores, go to File / Print.

Thank you, Marc, for replying to my question/request.

I use AnthemScore (which is not free! and, yes, MuseScore is free to download) and then, once I am done converting .mp3 to sheet music, MuseScore opens up, automatically. I remembered how to convert the two staved music into one, like piano music to, say, guitar, or violin music. And that is when I am saving the work on AnthemScore! It gives me the choice of:
1. two staves
2. treble staff
3. bass staff
And then via MuseScore I open that saved file (with slightly different name, say, adding an "*" so it won't replace the original, or double staves version), and I have a guitar version! :)

Again, thanks for taking time to respond.
Sincerely,
Nerses
