This is a known issue that affects a few people who updated from previous versions if there were certain changes to their synthesizer settings. To fix, go to View / Synthesizer, add MuseScore_General.sf3, and hit Set as Default. Or to be safe, just do Help / Revert to Factory Settings. Or, if you aren't already on the latest version (2.2.1), please update.
