2.2: Note input lagging over 5 seconds, causing MuseScore to become unresponsive.
When I try to use the up/down arrow to change the note, I press the key, and the note immediately plays and holds out for more than 5 seconds, and then the note updates on the score and the note stops playing.

Have you also generated all the parts?

Best to wait until you are done with most edits before generating parts, and to split very large scores into sections. Future versions of MuseScore should be better in this respect.
